virtual love

people are so stupid. we all think we are so brilliant but trust me, we’re not!

everything we create is designed to make our lives easier. no good came out of that.

technology. i hate it. hate all of it. you all think I’m crazy I’m sure, and maybe i am, but i look around me and i don’t like what i see.

people don’t like being alone. that’s why we have the phone. we can sit at home and talk to our best friend for hours! how great is that?? the television. sit at home and look at other people doing anything but sitting at home. and my personal favorite, the Internet. yes, yes its finally here and its bigger then ever.  is there any reason to leave the house now?? we work on line. play with other people on line. travel on line. shop on line. chat. make new friends. find love. sex.  marriage. anyone can use it. a 4 year old. a 70 year old. and we all do. and why not?? its great. its easy. its comfortable. in a few years all computers will come with a toilet seat and we’ll never have to move again!

kids wont have to go to school. wont need to open a book. in 50 years from now kids wont even know the feeling of a book. whats the point really, such a huge library on line. people wont have to go to work. we’ll be working hand in hand with people we’ll never even meet. relationships will last forever!

wanna know the sad part? there’s no way out. its too big now. so even me, the biggest hater of technology, is a part of this now. no joke. I’m having a virtual relationship. with a real live person. we have real conversations. real fights. real love.  you cant touch it, you cant feel it, but you can read the words on the screen. what more could i ask for? its perfect. true, I’m not getting any hugs, or kisses, or sex, but do i really need all this crap?

wanna know why people are sad and depressed all the time? why we cant sleep, or sleep too much. why we eat like there’s no tomorrow. why we drink. take pills to make us feel better. go to therapy. commit suicide. i’ll tell you why.

because we are humans. we are animals. and like all living creatures, we all need to be a part of a society. a REAL one. we need to be touched, and loved by other people. have real conversations with people, face to face. with no interruptions ( cell phones are the worst ).

i know it might take some time before people realize what I’m trying to say.  i just hope its sooner then later.

to all of you, angry people, that worship the net, I’m sure you know what you’re doing, don’t listen to me, what the fuck do i know , keep up the good work!
